Jo said…

“…exhilarating new vistas of possibility…”

April 06, 2005

More from us in a bit… But J.K. Rowling has this to say (Thank you Jo for the update!)

Take a look at what Jo says here

[info]thinkmilly‘s post:

Ok, so I was woken up by the lovely [info]melissa_tlc (by phone at the crack of dawn of the west coast) to be quickly directed to Jo’s site and read the updated Rumors section, wherein pandemonium has resulted… ok not really.

Then, I called [info]lizardlaugh like a BAZILLION times.

• I updated the new layout on K2K since the new info would probably drive traffic there and the PC layout results sucked muchly. (what the hell…right?)

• Made a post in said weblog to show off new info and layout, though it needs some final tweaks.

• Made a post on [info]unplottables and I’m enjoying the discussion… people, please be nice now. And yeah, Jo didn’t address the rumor the same way she did with other less wordy updates.

•And Jo… I’m so happy you ship the way you do… and I’ll just leave it at that:D

Edit: There also this development Yes, [info]melissa_tlc, we’re on it:) Thank you.

Then there’s [info]lizardlaugh‘s quick and much replied to post:

While I am a bit sad to go down in flames, I am inordinately thrilled that Jo likely actually read K2K. And that she didn’t make me wait until Book Seven. And that she wrote ‘Ron/Harry’ and ‘Harry/Ron’. You got the math all wrong as usual, Jo. Ron/Harry never was Dumbledore. Ron=Dumbldore. Harry=Aberforth. Dumbeldore/Aberforth=Ron/Harry.Ron and Hermione’s son… the Half-blood Prince. Obviously.

And now I am going back to bed.

Our response posted on TLC:

Ms. Rowling, your inventiveness knows no bounds and has opened up many exhilarating new vistas of possibility to explore for us, your fans. For that, we thank you and hope you enjoyed reading our wild speculations as much as we enjoyed making them. We are thrilled and honored that you mentioned our pet theory on your site. We may have been wrong, but it was all in the spirit of ‘if you have your wits about you, you can figure it out’. We are very much looking forward to HBP:HBP .
Thank you.

(aka, LizardLaugh and thinkmilly of K2K: Knight2King.net)P.S. — While we have your ear, would you mind telling us what colour Ron’s eyes are? Thanks!

Admin note: I’m moving the following to this post:
Famous Wizard cards, Jo’s update info on said cards, and Ron=DD

As we pointed out here, Jo did in fact write these cards.

She says:

Yes, I wrote the information on the original Famous Wizard cards. As you have noticed, a few of them have now popped up on the ‘Wizard of the Month’ cards on my website desk.

Um, Jo? You have some ‘spalining to do on point #2

One more thing… I figure if all else fails, we could go with [info]gmth‘s:
Ron is Santa
theory:DOk, another update: If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you may want to join us at out monthly Harry Potter Meetup.

Take a look at what Jo says here <– Link has been dead for some while, but thanks to the marvels of the internet, we have a screenshot for you here:

J.K.Rowling Official Site Skip Navigation Navigation: Welcome | News | Rumours | Rubbish Bin | F.A.Q. | Fan Sites | Biography | Extra Stuff | Wizard of the Month | Links Section: Rumours Dumbledore is really Ron/Harry ‘from the future’ Your inventiveness knows no bounds, and I do not mean that sarcastically; these theories open up exhilarating new vistas of possibility… but they’re wrong. Could it be that by speculating that Harry/Ron becomes Dumbledore, you are seeking reassurance that neither dies young?

Dumbledore is really Ron/Harry ‘from the future’

• I’m soooo happy that [info]prncspnut finally has high speed access at home! It’s about time:) And dude, thanks for the condolences on Jo’s updates and it’s ramifications for speculation of the HP verse, but really, it’s all good… all the way around:) And no, I’m not disappointed. I’m giddy:)
